Projects we support

Our partner's community based projects support 20,000 disadvantaged children and young people in Nepal each year, giving them hope for a brighter future.  Our services have a reputation for high standards, but just as importantly for treating children and families with kindness, respect and dignity.

Due to the wide range of beneficiaries targeted by the projects, and the high level of collaboration between the projects, it is difficult to split them into areas of work.  However, there are 3 main focuses for our projects which aim to give back children's rights:

At the heart of all the projects CWS supports, is a desire to:

• Involve children and communities in developing and running the programmes to make sure we are really meeting their needs

• Support those children who need it most, and adapt to meet their needs, regardless of how difficult their backgrounds or behaviours

• Use innovation to continually improve upon our services, and make them accessible and enjoyable for children and families

CWS's main beneficiaries in Nepal are:

• Street and working children and young people

• Children in mountain villages and their families

• Children living in slum areas

• Girls at risk of, or victims of, trafficking

• Mothers and their young children
