Fundraise for CWS
We have many wonderful supporters who go to extraordinary lengths to raise funds for CWS. One couple turn their home into a restaurant one weekend a month, and transform from businesswoman to chef, and navy officer to waiter!
We provide our fundraisers with as much support and motivation as possible, and send you a fundraising pack and materials to give you tips and ideas on fundraising. Below are just a few of our fundraising ideas, but if you're interested in becoming one of our valued fundraisers, please contact us on 020 7922 8003 or enquiries@cwsuk.org
Easy fundraising ideas
Get fit - cycle or walk to work for a month, and donate the money you'll save on transport to CWS!
Sponsored...walk, swim, cycle, run, silence, food fast, ‘no swearing'
Celebration - ask people to make a donation to CWS to mark a special occasion, for example your birthday, anniversary or Christmas
Spare change/old foreign currency jar - start one yourself and ask your friends to donate you theirs! Take them to the bank and it may add up to more than you think!
Sponsored abstinence - ask colleagues to sponsor you for going without a guilty pleasure, eg. chocolate, crisps, beer or cigarettes
Sponsored head shave, leg or chest wax - set up in a public place, let all your colleagues know, and collect donations from spectators!
Fine box - introduce a fine box in the office for swearing or turning up late
Sweepstake - on the Grand National, FA Cup, Six Nations Rugby Tournament, Eurovision Song Contest, Wimbledon, X Factor, Big Brother or any other large event!
Saturday night in for CWS - stay in for a night with your friends and donate the money saved to CWS
Casual dress or fancy dress day - ask colleagues to pay £2 to dress down or dress up!
Lunch and cakes - make for your colleagues every Friday for a small fee, offer a lunch-buying service for your busy colleagues, or buy large cakes to sell in slices
Car boot sale - ask friends, family and neighbours to have a clear out, and sell their unwanted items at a car boot sale - if you find any special items, auction them on e-bay
Arts and crafts - make and sell Christmas cards to friends and family
Share the challenge - ask everyone you know to do a sponsored event (or something else) to raise £50. If 30 people agree, you could raise £1,500 without lifting a finger!
TOP TIP: Set up a Justgiving page to make your fundraising even easier: http://www.justgiving.com/childwelfarescheme/
